Educational Activities:

Over the course of the 5 days we  are in Nadi there will be a number of educational opportunities.  We will be conducting a number of seminars, including:

·        Injury Management

·        Resuscitation

·        Life after the Olympics

FREE TIME ACTIVITIES:

Sunday will be a free day.  There will be an opportunity to go to local Churches, close by Islands or just laze around the pool.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT NADI:

Nadi can be a fun city – there are lots of shops and there is a market place for you to buy local souveniers.  But please be careful, do not accept invitations into small shops in Nadi to buy local artefacts.  If you are looking to buy souveniers in Nadi you should go into the bigger stores where the prices are competitive and you can guarantee that the articles you buy will get through customs on your return to Australia.

Like any big city you should never go out alone at night – always stay with the team!

GENERAL:

I will be departing Townsville on Thursday, 7 December (very early in the morning), please any enquiries can you get them to me as quickly as possible.

I would like to thank, on behalf of the Oceania Athletic Association, everyone who has supported our decision to relocate the Grand Prix Series.  It was a difficult decision to make, but quite obviously the best option for our teams.    And I would like to especially thank Athletics Fiji for their dedicated efforts in ensuring that the Series will go ahead.

The Series, will be a success despite some of the challenges, and the opportunity to see beautiful Fiji has never been better!
